SHEBOYGAN, WI, April 20, 2010 /Industrial PR News/ -- Pentair Industrial Resflex Series Resin Bonded Filter Cartridges provide increased particle retention and service life. Resflex cartridges are impregnated with phenolic resin, making them well suited for use with fluid viscosities up to 15,000 SSU and ensuring effective filtration as well as long-lasting operation. Differing from competitive "short fiber" cartridges, Resflex includes extra-long acrylic fibers to resist breakage and assist in preventing migration, as well as providing additional strength to the cartridge. Resflex cartridges endure pressure surges of up to 150 PSID, depending upon fluid temperature.
Resflex cartridges are available in sizes up to 40 inches, with flow rates of 10 gpm per 10 inches of cartridge length. The proprietary two-stage design includes an outer spiral wrap to efficiently eliminate large particles and agglomerates. This prefilter wrap--which features increased surface area--intensifies cartridge strength and eliminates residual debris that are common to conventional, machined resin bonded cartridges. The inner layers deliver improved particle removal in available micron ratings from 2 to 150 microns. The patented design maximizes performance and functional life, working in temperatures up to 250 degree F to remove contaminants from viscous fluids, including adhesives, chemical coatings, petroleum products, paint and printing ink.
The silicone-free construction is specifically designed for viscous fluid filtration, making certain the cartridge does not produce contamination that might adversely affect fluid adhesion properties. Resflex's double open-ended, one-piece design makes change out simpler, also eliminating bypass concerns with multi-length cartridges.
